<abstract>Un estudio realizado por el RACC (Real Automóvil Club de Cataluña), que ha contado con la colaboración del Ministerio de Fomento y de la Dirección General de Tráfico, complementa otros elaborados por 15 clubes miembros de la Federación Internacional del Automóvil (FIA), que forman parte del Estudio de Evaluacion de Carreteras Euro RAP (European Road Assessment Programme), que adopta una metodología aplicada en Gran Bretaña y Suecia y mide la calidad de la red viaria bajo unos criterios unificados. En el informe se valora la probabilidad de sufrir un accidentes con muertos y heridos graves en un tramo concreto de carretera, en función de la longitud de la vía y de la intensidad media diaria de vehículos (IMD). Se han analizado todas las Comunidades Autónomas españolas, con la excepción de las insulares</abstract>
