<abstract>En los últimos 5 años, en Argentina, se han venido produciendo en promedio un millón de accidentes de tránsito anuales, de los cuales 800 mil corrresponden a hechos sin víctimas o sólo con lesiones leves. Cada víctima fatal o herida de gravedad genera un costo económico de aproximadamente 30 mil dólares.  Una buena parte de esta cifra debe ser afrontada por las aseguradoras</abstract>
