<abstract>El Protocolo de Kioto y la aplicación de la Directiva europea de comercio de derechos de emisión son de máxima relevancia para los dirigentes políticos y empresariales europeos por las implicaciones que tienen en la competitividad de las empresas y estados, y en el medio ambiente. Sin embargo, existen una serie de mitos y creencias al respecto bastante arraigadas que es conveniente aclarar a fin de que la toma de decisiones en relación con este tema sea lo más positiva posible para el medioambiente y el desarrollo económico</abstract>
