<abstract>En el presente artículo, el autor considera que la función de los sindicatos es preservar la calidad laboral en todo su contexto. Si los sindicatos incluyeran en sus códigos y normas internas la vigilancia y el compromiso con la calidad de trabajo, y se implicaran en la consecución de los resultados de la compañía, cobrarían una dimensión nunca vista hasta ahora, logrando un apoyo masivo desde todas las partes, incluida la dirección de la empresa, que les otorgaría el poder de cambiar el mundo, de alcanzar logros sindicales hoy inimaginables, de ayudar verdaderamente a crear un mundo empresarial mucho mejor, y, por ende, un entorno mejor para la vida de todos, de los que trabajan y de los que conviven con los que trabajan</abstract>
