<abstract>Â la suite de la catastrophe de Toulouse (explosion de l'usine AZF le 21 septembre 2001), les pouvoirs publics ont voulu se doter d'un instrument de gestion de risques technologiques et naturels efficace. Tel était donc l'objectif de la Loi du 20 juillet 2003 relative à la prévention des risques technologiques et naturels et à la réparation des dommages. Dans cet article sont abordés, de manière concise, les aspects touchant à la maîtrise des risques technologiques, la portée générale de la Loi, les nouvelles obligations et les préoccupations générées par les acteurs de la gestion de risques (industriels, assureurs)</abstract>
