<abstract>La búsqueda de estructuras organizativas empresariales más competitivas y la flexibilización en las relaciones de sus procesos ha cristalizado e la configuración de modelos variables, también llamados "organizaciones virtuales". Estas entidades se caracterizan por la segregación de actividades y procesos fuera del modo esencial de la empresa, cuya coordinación se lleva a cabo mediante fórmulas diversas de cooperación empresarial apoyándose en las nuevas tecnologías de la información. Este trabajo representa un intento de diagnosticar el grado de "virtualidad" de las empresas aplicándolo al sector asegurador español. Para ello se propone un "modelo de medición" que se somete al resultado de un análisis empírico realizado</abstract>
