La fonction de directeur de la communication, presque inconnue il y a encore quelques années, a maintenant acquis une dimension stratégique. L'image de l'entreprise, les relations que celle-ci entretient avec ses différents publics, en fait des partenaires, la mobilisation et la participation du personnel dans le cadre de la reconnaissance d'une culture d'entreprise, ne représentent que quelques-unes des facettes de ce nouveau capital, au sens plein du terme, que la communication contribue largement à constituer. Entreprise, le terme est générique, symbolise étymologiquement tous les organismes commerciaux ou non, publics ou privés qui entreprennent, vont de l'avant et par conséquent ne peuvent pas ne pas communiquer. C'est à ces entreprises que s'adresse cet ouvrage.</abstract>
