Title: Plasma nickel as a primary index of exposure in nickel refining / A. Ch. Hogetveit, R. Th. Barton, C.O. KostolAuthor: Hogetveit, A. Ch.
Notes: Sumario: Plasma nickel has been used as a primary index to environmental exposure of nickel refinery workers as part of a preventive health programme. Whether the body burden of nickel as seen in plasma levels can be correlated with the eventual development of cancer remains to be determined. Enviromental protection of the workers is hampered by the limited knowledge of specific carcinogenic nickel compounds and the dose relationship. Research in this direction is greatly needed before sensible threshold limit values can be establishedRelated records: En: The Annals of occupational hygiene. - Oxford [etc.]. - nº 2, August 1978 ; p. 113-120Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrial Contaminantes químicos Níquel Refinerías Plasma sanguíneo Medicina laboral Enfermedades profesionales Análisis clínicos Cáncer Vías respiratorias Epidemiología Noruega Otros autores: Barton, R.Th.
