Title: Trunk kinematics of one-handed lifting, and the effects of asymmetry and load weight / W. Gary Allread, William S. Marras and Mohamad ParnianpourAuthor: Allread, W. Gary
Notes: Sumario: This study investigated trunk kinematic differences between lifts performed using either one hand or two hands. These effects were studied while beginning the lifts from different asymmetric starting positions and while lifting different load weights. The results suggest that unsupported one-handed lifting loads the spine more than two-handed lifts, due to the added coupling. Applying these results to a previously developed model, one-handed lifting was also found to increase one's risk of suffering a low back disorderRelated records: En: Ergonomics. - London and Washington. - Vol. 39, nº 2, February 1996 ; p. 322-334Materia / lugar / evento: Ergonomía Biomecánica Carga de materiales Postura Asimetría Lesiones musculares Otros autores: Marras, William S.
