Title: Development of the field method for evaluating the service lives of organic-vapour respirator cartridges. Part III : results of laboratory testing using binary organic vapor mixtures / Howard J. Cohen, Dale E. Briggs and Richard P. GarrisonAuthor: Cohen, Howard J.
Notes: Sumario: Results of a third study on the use of small, carbon-filled glass tubes, referred to as respirator carbon tubes (RTCs), for predicting the service lives of organic-vapor respirator cartridges are represented. This report examines the effects of binary organic vapor mixtures and intermittent testing ofon the predictive accuracy of the method. Results suggest that simple treatment of mixtures based on data from single component testing may predict incorrect breakthrough times and support the need for a field method to estimate cartridge service livesRelated records: En: American Industrial Hygiene Association journal. - Akron, Ohio. - Vol. 52, nº 1, January 1991 ; p. 34-43Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrial Contaminantes químicos Vapores orgánicos Equipos respiratorios Filtros Ciclo de vida del producto Métodos de evaluación Tests Otros autores: Briggs, Dale E.
