Since 2001, the Julio Castelo Matrán International Insurance Award has been recognizing those scientific works or innovative projects on matters related to insurance and social security.

 Individuals or institutions that have carried out significant scientific work whose results contribute to extending insurance activity in society and foster economic stability and solidarity through Insurance and/or Social Security may opt for it.

They will be valued:

 Unpublished scientific papers or papers published in the last four years (taking the date indicated in the seventh base as a reference) that provide knowledge about insurance and/or social security.

The transferability of the action to other countries or regions will be taken into account.
