Forrester continues to witness growing enthusiasm for master data management (MDM) initiatives across all industries, and in many cases those visions are slowly becoming reality. Yet while many large organizations work to either improve an existing MDM solution or implement a new one, MDM still lacks maturity, and data management professionals need to overcome significant barriers to adoption. These barriers have led many to rethink the big bang approach and instead encourage looking at MDM as a multiphase, multiyear investment that can return incremental value within each phase. This report will reference data collected in Forresters August 2009 Global Master Data Management/Data Quality Online Survey to address these and other MDM trends
