Sumario: The objective of this thesis is to investigate the high crash risk of young novice drivers, and more specifically, to explore whether a development in calibration skills could explain the substantial decrease in crash risk in the first years after licensing. To this end, the thesis will investigate whether empirical support for the concept of calibration can be found, starting from the model in Figure 1.2.
