Sumario: It is difficult to argue, in theory, with the objectives of the new U.S. Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC). Established under the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial reform legislation, the Council is charged with identifying risks and responding to threats to the stability of U.S. financial markets. The FSOC has a global counterpart, the Basel-based Financial Stability Board (FSB)
