Agricultural insurance is a risk management tool, allowing producers to protect themselves from losses, which are mainly caused by adverse climate phenomena. Agricultural insurance is currently being marketed in certain countries, but this segment still falls short of expectations, and has not kept pace with the growth in the productive sector</subfield>
