report explores the trends, challenges and opportunities in personal lines insurance for 2016 and beyond. It begins with a discussion of industry financials from 2014 and into 2015, looks at the investment environment and interest rates forecasts and then looks at the top issues in insurance now: a rise in technology and a decrease in catastrophes, and addresses the attacks on pricing methodologies and underwriting criteria. The state of the personal lines market is explored in depth, outlining how although results have been fairly strong and stable in recent years, profitability of auto and homeowners lines varies tremendously over time and across states
