<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Desde hace ya más de dos décadas, las nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones (TIC) están omnipresentes en nuestra vida profesional y personal. Sin embargo, en el último lustro se ha producido un salto cuantitativo de tal magnitud en la cantidad de datos que los sistemas informáticos pueden capturar, almacenar, gestionar y explotar, lo que ha supuesto una verdadera revolución tecnológica, denominada habitualmente Big Data, por los cambios cualitativos en el tipo de aplicaciones que la explotación de dichos datos permite. </abstract>
