<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Taking into account the inherent specificities of the pensions market, and bearing in mind that the delineation between pension pillars in some Member States is not always clear, the report also analyses the trends in the personal and occupational pension sectors. The development of pension-tracking systems and the provision of advice when planning for retirement are subject to a more detailed analysis. Moreover, given that the pensions sector is relatively stable where financial innovations and disruptive changes are often triggered by regulatory changes, it is common that some key trends persevere over the years.</abstract>
