<abstract displayLabel="Summary">A nuclear insurance pool will be established in order to provide coverage against the risks faced by operators of nuclear facilities, according to the Nuclear Regulation Law Proposal accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Plans are for the nuclear insurance pool to start operations this year. Operators of nuclear facilities engaged in the field of nuclear energy have to acquire insurance. They may partially or fully obtain the specified insurance or guarantee obligations from the domestic or international markets, as well as request coverage by the nuclear insurance pool, reported Anadolu Agency.</abstract>
