<abstract displayLabel="Summary">EIOPA decided to prepare a high-level data request addressed to IFRS 17 users (via the National Competent Authorities) to gather a high-level overview of: 1) the first implementation of IFRS 17; 2) the main synergies and differences with Solvency II.
This data request also served to create one harmonised data request across Europe instead of having several different data requests issued by different NCAs, which would have increased the burden for the industry and limited the scope of the analysis</abstract>
