Notas: Sumario: This research article analyses the independent association of loneliness and social isolation with physical and mental health-related quality of life in community-dwelling older adults. Using longitudinal data from the Seniors-ENRICA-2 cohort in Spain, the study evaluates differences by sex over a two-year follow-up period. Loneliness was measured using the UCLA scale and health-related quality of life using the SF-12 questionnaire. Results show that loneliness is significantly associated with poorer physical and mental health-related quality of life, particularly among women. Social isolation, however, was not independently associated with health-related quality of life outcomesRegistros relacionados: En: European Journal of Ageing : social, behavioural and health perspectives. - Cham, Switzerland [etc.] : Springer International Publishing AG, 2021-. - 21/12/2026 Volumen 22 Número 2 - 2026 , 10 p.Materia / lugar / evento: Soledad Calidad de vida relacionada con la salud Envejecimiento Salud mental Longevidad Otros autores: Durán-Arias, Marcela Springer Nature Otras clasificaciones: 931.2
