520  ‎$a‎This systematic review analyses policies supporting informal caregivers of older adults with long-term care needs across European Union countries. Drawing on 35 academic and grey literature sources published between 2011 and 2025, it examines financial, labour market and in-kind support measures. The study highlights strong cross-national and intra-national variation, shaped by welfare regimes and decentralisation. Nordic and Continental countries tend to offer more comprehensive support, while Southern and Eastern Europe rely more heavily on family care. The findings provide policy-relevant insights into gaps, inequalities and future directions for long-term care systems in ageing societies
