<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El presente artículo estudia la incidencia de los factores personales en el riesgo del transporte marítimo. Partiendo de la normativa existente (Convenios internacionales), se pasa a estudiar la formación en seguridad marítima en España, la disfunción existente entre estudios académicos y profesionales y la reforma de la enseñanza de los estudios de náutica en la Universidad. Finalmente se aborda la seguridad del transporte marítimo en nuestras costas a partir de la puesta en marcha del Plan Nacional de Salvamento Marítimo y Lucha contra la Contaminación</abstract>
