<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En este artículo se exponen las medidas correctoras para reducir la carga de calor por radiación en determinados procesos siderúrgicos, los cuales pueden generar estrés térmico, que se corresponde con una activación importante de las reacciones funcionales y alteraciones de la salud, seguidas de un debilitamiento de las facultades mentales y físicas. Se aconseja prestar especial atención durante las estaciones cálidas a los puestos de trabajo del horno alto, de la colada continua, escarpadores de slabs y marcadores de productos laminados en caliente y en éstos se deben intensificar los medios de protección contra el exceso de calor</abstract>
