<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La détection des fuites d'ammoniac, utilisé dans les installations frigorifiques, est assurée par des explosimètres. Cinq appareils ont été soumis à des essais de qualification et à des essais de longue durée. Quatre des cinq appareils permettent de détecter l'ammoniac aux teneurs choisies pour le déclenchement d'une préalarme et d'une alarme. Les autres performances varient selon le type de détecteur. L'efficacité de la détection des fuites d'ammoniac dépend fortement du choix de l'emplecement des appareils, d'une selection sévère, de la part du constructeur, des capteurs proposés et de l'entretien et du suivi de l'installation</abstract>
