<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La survenue brutale d'une thrombose aiguë de l'aorte sous rénale chez un marin de 47 ans suivi depuis 3 ans pour une artériopathie oblitérante des membres inférieurs (A.O.M.I.) de stade. Il large, cela a rappelé la gravité possible de cette pathologie pour des individus professionnellement soumis à des isolements médicaux prologés. A travers deux enquêtes, l'une transversale par dépistage systématique des signes cliniques d'A.O.M.I. et l'autre cas-témoin, entre un groupe de marins artéritiques et un groupe de marins actifs, on souligne l'importance de cette pathologie, l'influence de certains facteurs de risque (tabac, hypertension artérielle, masse corporelle, alcool), enfin le rôleéventuel du métier. On montre par ailleurs les problèmes particuliers aux gens de mer</abstract>
