<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Mediante el Decreto Regional 113/1987, de 10 de Diciembre, se creaba la Dirección Regional de Interior, atribuyéndole el ejercicio específico de las funciones de Protección Civil, que hoy han pasado a la Dirección General de Protección Civil. De entre dichas funciones y su desarrollo en actuaciones concretas, merecen destacarse: la elaboración de los planes de protección civil de la Región de Murcia; asegurar la instalación, organización y mantenimiento de los servicios de prevención y extinción de incendios; promover y apoyar la organización y desarrollo de la Protección Civil Municipal; y organizar e impulsar la formación y perfeccionamiento del personal</abstract>
