Sumario: The hand-arm vibration syndrome is a disorder of nerves and blood vessels that occurs in workers exposed to segmental vibration. It is characterised by both vascular and neurological abnormalities. The vascular abnormality is a form of secundary Raynaud's phenomenon, commonly referred to as "vibration white finger".
