Título: Loss of lung function associated with exposure to silica dust and with smoking and its relation to disability and mortality in South African gold miners / Eva HnizdoAutor: Hnizdo, Eva
Notas: Sumario: The objet of the present paper is to report on a re-analysis of data on lung function collected on 2209 white South African gold miners in 1968-71, and on an analysis of five year follow up study that has not been published, in particular to quantify the loss of lung function attributable to exposure to silica dust and to smoking. The significance of the loss of lung function attributable to each factor was assessed through comparisons with the predicted FEV curves estimated for a general non-mining population, and through the miners'disability and mortality dataRegistros relacionados: En: British journal of industrial medicine. - London and Margate. - nº 7, July 1992 ; p. 472-479Materia / lugar / evento: Medicina laboral Epidemiología Enfermedades profesionales Enfermedades pulmonares Polvo de sílice Silicosis Cáncer Mortalidad Oro Minería Sudáfrica Títulos secundarios: Título: British journal of industrial medicine
