The samples used included four with nominal dia. 1.5 microm. and lengths ranging from 5 to 60 microm. and one with nominal dia. 3 microm. and length 10 microm. Deposition of the longer 1.5 microm. dia. fibres in the respiratory tract was quantitative as was that 3 microm. dia. fibre. Alveolar deposition was much lower than for asbestiform minerals owing to the larger aerodynamic diameters of the samples of glass fibre</dc:description>
