<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) historical European cohort study of man-made mineral fibres (MMMF) production workers has investigated mortality and cancer incidence in a population of about 25.000 workers at 13 plants in seven western European countries. This paper presents further results in relation to type of raw material used (rock or slag) and to other potential risk factors present in the working environment that could have enfounded the association between lung cancer and exposure to MMMF</abstract>
