Sección: ArtículosTítulo: Lung dust analysis in the assessment of part exposure of man-made mineral fibre workers / J.C. McDonald... [et al.]Notas: Sumario: In the present study, it has explored the use of lung dust analyses in assessing the past exposure of MMMF workers in the large U.S. cohort. From past experience in laboratory it knew that some man-made mineral fibres could be found at autopsy in lung tissue. Their presence in workers' lungs, in excess over matched referents, would establish exposure. presence in excess in workers dying of lung cancer (compared with other workers) might suggest causation. Possible confounders, such as asbestos, vermiculite and talc, could be evaluated directly by lung analysisRegistros relacionados: En: The Annals of occupational hygiene. - Oxford [etc.]. - nº 5, October 1990 ; p. 427-441Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrialContaminantes químicosFibras minerales artificialesMan-made mineral fibresContaminación atmosféricaMétodos de análisisEnfermedades profesionalesEnfermedades pulmonaresCáncerEpidemiologíaEstadísticasCasos prácticosOtros autores: MacDonald, J.C.
