<abstract displayLabel="Summary">A computer model has been developed for calculating the effective uptake rates of tube-type diffusive air samplers. The model approximates the mass transport in the sampler by a sequence of steady-state processes to which Fick's first law of diffusion can be applied. An iterative procedure was developed for assessing the effective uptake rate in the field at unknown ambient air concentrations</abstract>
