Sección: ArtículosTítulo: An Investigation of environmental impact on health of workers at retail petrol pumps / Mohan Das... [et al.]Notas: Sumario: Ninety-for male pump workers, employed in 41 filling stations in Kanpur and Lucknow (north India), were clinically examined. Headache, redness in eyes, lacrimation and signs like coated and/or furred tongue, throat an/or conjuctivsl congestion and carious teeth were significantly higher in workers exposed to petrol fumes than in controls, as also was the level of phenol in urine. Environmental measurements revealed higher concentrations of benzene, sulphur dioxide and photoionizable dust in the air at petrol stations, and most of the symptoms and signs could be attributed to petrol fumes and other environmental pollutionRegistros relacionados: En: The Annals of occupational hygiene. - Oxford [etc.]. - nº 3, June 1991 ; p. 347-352Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrialContaminantes químicosPetróleoRiesgo laboralContaminación atmosféricaHumos tóxicosGasolinerasIndiaOtros autores: Das, Mohan Títulos secundarios: Título: The Annals of occupational hygiene Otras clasificaciones: 872Derechos: In Copyright (InC)
