Sumario: The authors have studied retention patterns of asbestos fibres among asbestos cement workers. The persistence of mineral fibres in lung tissue is believed to be one of the major determinants for their ability to induce fibrosis and malignancies, and is thus crucial for evaluation of risk and preventive measures
