<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The present communication discusses problems related to guidelines based on the Tlim-data for low-level, low-variation work activities. The considerations are mainly based on recent results from a number of independent Scandinavian research groups. Three main issues are addressed: prediction of Tlim by the Dul model; Tlim as a predictor of acute physiological status; and acute physiological status as a risk indicator for musculoskeletal disorders</abstract>
