Sumario: Performance characteristics were investigated for six commercial devices designed to maintain constant face velocity (FV) with changing sash position for a laboratory exhaust hood. Testing involved displacement of the hood sash upward and downward and monitoring hood and controller performance. Some FV deviations were too great to assure adequate control for potential exposures to highly toxic materials
