Sumario: A laboratory study was conducted to evaluate five different manual techniques and three different mechanical hoists for transferring patients from wheelchair to shower chair and shower chair to wheelchair. It would produce relatively low physical stresses to the nursing personnel and result in high levels of comfort and security of the patients
