<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Individuals vary in their ability to adapt to night- and shiftwork and it would be useful to be able to predict those who will have problems adjusting so that they might be provided with counselling about appropiate coping strategies or so that the individuals most likely to successfully adapt are selected for night-and shiftwork. The most useful form of prediction would involve a relatively simple self-report instrument which can be used before the individual has been exposed to such work</abstract>
