<abstract displayLabel="Summary">L'objet de cet article est d'offrir un aperçu général des travaux de la Communauté visant à créer un marché intérieur dans le secteur de l'assurance, en analysant les textes, adoptés ou proposés, destinés à fusionner les douze marchés nationaux d'assurance dans un seul marché. On indiquera les conditions d'accès à ces activités et de leur exercice, ainsi que les régimes résultant des différents textes communautaires, afin de montrer au lecteur les rapports existant entre ces différents textes, dont la lecture et la compréhension ne sont pas toujours faciles</abstract>
