<abstract displayLabel="Summary">This paper hypothesized that during walking in snow the increase in physiological strain due to the extra weight of the safety boots may become critically high and reduce working efficiency. This occurrence in turn could lead to negligence in the use of safety boots in logging work which is mostly done on a piece-rate basis. Therefore, in the present study it compared the cardio-respiratory strain during walking in snow using three types of boots of differing weights</abstract>
