Sumario: This review paper argues that the consequences of control performance among left-handed operators, who may represent a sizeable portion of the population, should not be disregarded as a design issue. This paper critically reviews the handedness literature relevant to left-handed performance. The assessment methodologies of hand laterality and the performance abilities of the left-handed will be discussed. First and foremost, this paper evaluates the consequence of the operator's hand laterality given a particular control situation
