An audit, however, may not cover enough ground for some companies. In addition to determining compliance, an environmental risk assessment analyzes inherent hazards presented by an operation and determines if systems are in place to adequately control those hazards. The intent of the assessment is to provide management with enough relevant information to make key strategic and business decisions</abstract>
