Notas: Sumario: The purposes of this study were to evaluate lumbar paraspinal electromyographic (EMG) activity during the stance phase of gait when loads are carried in a position anterior and posterior to the trunk and to test whether myoelectrical activity of the paraspinal muscles during the stance phase increases when a load is carried in the hand ipsilateral or contralateral to the muscle.
