<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Some companies have taken the high-tech route to prevent cumulative trauma. And they've turned to what has become one of the causes of cumulative-trauma disorders for a solution: the computer. Many believe it's now possible to prevent ergonomic problems by training employees using ergonomic software. Ergonomic software may demonstrate the optimum position for the worker's computer, monitor and keyboard. Some software programs guide workers through timed stretching exercises and prompt workers to take a break. The software also may provide safety information and demonstrate the ergonomically appropriate posture</abstract>
