<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Se evaluó un sistema de prueba de ajuste cuantitativo de mascarillas basado en una presión negativa controlada, comparándolo con un sistema electrónico de prueba de ajuste con aerosol. Los experimentos incluían desde pruebas secuenciales múltiples de un único sujeto que llevaba una mascarilla equipada con una serie de rendijas fijas, hasta pruebas de ajuste sucesivas de 125 miembros de las Fuerzas Armadas norteamericanas, utilizando ambos sistemas. Durante cada fase de pruebas, los factores de ajuste con presión negativa medidos fueron mucho más conservadores y menos variables que los factores de ajuste con aerosoles</abstract>
