<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Les indices biologiques d'exposition sont des valeurs de référence correspondant soit aux concentrations d'un produit chimique ou de ses métabolites dans les milieux biologiques ou l'air expiré, soit à une réponse biologique à un produit chimique. Ces indices sont un moyen d'apprécier l'exposition des travailleurs aux substances chimiques et doivent être considérés comme complémentaires des mesures des valeurs limites d'exposition dans l'air. Cette note des définitions des indices biologiques d'exposition proposés par les hygiénistes américains de l'ACGIH (BEI) et allemands de la DFG (BAT), présente leur intérêt et leurs limites et un tableau récapitulatif des valeurs adoptées pour 1994-1995</abstract>
