Sumario: The purpose of the present study was to examine selected physiological and psychobiological responses to different configurations of firefighting turn-out gear during physical activity under laboratory conditions. Specifically, this study compared the responses of firefighters to submaximal treadmill exercise while wearing the NFPA 1500 mandated clothing configuration to the responses obtained while wearing the more traditional hip boot turn-out gear configuration as well as a control configuration
