<abstract>Entre los diversos motivos de accidentes de trabajo en el taller de reparación de automóviles, se pueden mencionar el incumplimiento de las normas de prevención, la distracción, la poca experiencia del operario, el desconociminto de la tarea o el mal uso de las herramientas, la excesiva confianza, la falta de elementos de protección adecuados, el mal estado de las herramientas, el agotamiento físico, el no tener en cuenta las normas de seguridad al trabajar sobre elementos explosivos como son el airbag y los pretensores de los cinturones de seguridad, entre otros. Cuando se conocen las posibles causas de los accidentes, es posible analizar los riesgos, sus consecuencias y la forma de evitarlos</abstract>
