<abstract>Este estudio tiene dos objetivos: en primer lugar, se hace una revisión de la literatura de las lesiones de las manos en el lugar de trabajo que discute la dexteridad, así como tambíen los papeles que desempeñan las manos como posibles factores para las lesiones de las manos en el lugar de trabajo. En segundo lugar, se provee un inventario de los papeles que desempeñan las manos en una rama específica de la industria, la metarlurgia, en estaciones de trabajo diferentes</abstract>
